Ersilia is a small satchel in hand-dyed, vegetable-tanned cow leather, handmade in Italy, that opens with a squeeze-to-open spring frame. Carry it by its twin top handles or wear it crossbody on the detachable 125 cm strap.

An opening you won't find on most bags

Instead of a zip or turn lock, you gently squeeze the frame to open it. The frame also gives Ersilia its straight top line and a slightly vintage character.

Small, slim and hands-free

At only 7 cm deep it stays close to the body when worn crossbody, yet holds a wallet, phone, keys and sunglasses. Remove the strap and it becomes a neat top-handle bag for lunch or dinner.

Crafted details

Contrast stitching outlines the handles and edges, and on some colours the cognac-toned handles and trim contrast with the body for a two-tone look.

How does it open?

Squeeze the top frame gently and it opens for direct access to the main compartment.

Can I wear it crossbody?

Yes. The detachable 125 cm strap is adjustable and designed for crossbody wear.

Will my bag look exactly like the photos?

Very close, but not identical. The leather is dyed by hand, so each bag has slight differences in shade and surface. These are part of the hand-dyed finish, not flaws.

How long does delivery take?

Orders are dispatched from Florence within 24 hours. Delivery usually takes 3 to 6 business days to the United States and Canada and 1 to 3 days within Europe. Shipping is free on orders over €200.

Caring for your bag

Wipe with a soft, dry cloth and keep away from rain, prolonged moisture, direct sunlight and heat. A neutral leather conditioner used occasionally keeps vegetable-tanned leather supple, and the surface will gain character as it is used. Store it in a dust bag.
